Principal's Comments:
Reflection/Preparation
08-06-2010
Dear West Campus Students, Families and Community Members
As the summer months race by we have had little time to reflect back on many great accomplishments from the 2009/10 school year, my first year at West Campus High School.
Let us celebrate the many Academic and Athletic accomplishments of the last school year that emanated from the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, staff and coaches with the support of our parents, Foundation for Excellence, ASSETS, boosters and community members alike. The message is clear, No One Can Do It Alone.
My goal this year is to continue to take the necessary steps to make West Campus High School a nationally recognized program in academics and athletics as well. I will maintain a quality teaching and coaching staff, while supporting their efforts in providing a quality educational and athletic experience for every student.
Please be aware that through all of the budgetary challenges faced by all California schools we have maintained continuity in our teaching staff with the change of only one staff member, who we will surely miss.
Academic Excellence begins and ends with each and every stakeholder working diligently to meet the expectations of their duties and responsibilities. From quality instruction, to effective leadership, to student work ethic, to parental engagement, to friendly support staff, etc. We must all hold ourselves accountable to continue to make West Campus such an ideal setting.
Also, it is very important that all summer reading requirements and assignments are completed prior to the first day of school as they are a part of your grade. Orientation is scheduled for Friday August 27th. Any questions or concerns can be directed to the office.
Sincerely
Greg D. Thomas, Principal
