Dear West Campus Students and Families:

We have had a wonderful start this school year.  Time seems to be passing right before our eyes.  It seems like just yesterday that we were basking in the sun, but now we are quickly moving through October.  As we realize that time stops for no one, it is imperative that we pay close attention to deadlines.  This is especially true of our seniors.  The time has come to begin to think about completing the SAT’s and applying for the colleges of your choice.  We understand that this process may be overwhelming; therefore, the West Campus staff is committed to assisting you in any way possible.  It is highly recommended that seniors and their parents attend the upcoming Senior Parent Night on October 23 and meet with their counselors for additional support.

In regards to the freshman, sophomore, and juniors, you should be attempting to identify your brand.  In other words, what is it that makes you different from every other student who may be applying for the same colleges?  Remember, that your personal brand is of great interest to colleges.  Therefore, take care to document the activity and the amount of time that is spent on each activity.  For more information, please feel free to contact the counselors or administration.

As for you parents, your time as a high school parent is limited.  Your student(s) will be graduating before you know it, and you will be wondering where the time went.  Please enjoy the West Campus experience by taking part in the many upcoming activities.  As you know, we cannot do this alone.  If we are truly to experience success, we need your support.  Feel free to contact the front office to volunteer for the following events:

  • Homecoming Dance- October 18
  • Snackbar  (Football) Oct 24 and Oct. 31
  • Halloween Carnival October 31
  • College Trips- Nov. 21, 24, 25

Thank you for your continued support.
