We have had a wonderful start this school year. Time seems to be passing right before our eyes. It seems like just yesterday that we were basking in the sun, but now we are quickly moving through October. Congratulations West Campus students, staff and parents! On Dec. 15, 2008 our school was named a recipient of the federal Title 1 Academic Achievement Award, a recognition of academic success given to only a handful of state's 9,000-plus schools. This is the second year in a row that West Campus has been honored with the award, which highlights our students' successes despite socioeconomic disadvantages. Last year, our school also won the National Title 1 Distinguished School Award and our student performance continues to keep West Campus at the top rank of area schools.
